Learn about how we hire, and what we look for in candidates.
We have very high standards, and we work with who have self-respect, high standards, and care about their work. Our hiring process is designed to identify genuine talent, and ensure a strong mutural fit. We focus on understanding how you think and solve problems.
Here's what you can expect during our interview process:
- Application Review: We carefully review your application and beackground against the role's requirements. You cannot lie or manipulate data when applying for a job.
- Technical Assessment & Discussion: This stage varies by role, but often includes a technical task and/or live problem-solving session with our team.
- Initial Conversation: A brief chat with our team to discuss your experience, motivations, and answer your initial questions about the role and Skcript.
- Explain Your Work: We prioritize understanding your thought process deeply. Whether it's a take-home task or live coding, expect to walk us through your solution step-by-step. Be ready to explain why you made certain choices, discuss trade-offs, and answer detailed questions about your approach. This is a collaborative discussion, not just a test.
- Team Interviews: You'll meet with potential peers and managers from Skcript. These conversations delve deeper into your skills, past experiences (using specific examples), and how you approach collaboration and challenges.
- Final Conversation: Typically a final discussion with leadership to ensure alignment on vision and values.
Our hiring philosophy
We believe the best way to asses a person's skill is through practical discussion and a clear demonstration of deep thinking. This process helps us look beyond resumes to understand your real capabilities and ensures we hire individuals who thrive in our high-standards environment. We value depth and clarity over quick, superficial answers.

Important Note
These are some of the things you need to remember before, during, and after your interview with Skcript:
- Never Lie: Never lie or manipulate your data during the interview. We will find out one way or the other.
- Zero AI: Do not use AI during your interview process. It is never going to help you.
- Passing interview is not everything: You can pass an interview using AI, but never sustain after that. Working on technology day-to-day is far more crucial than passing an interview. If we find you are not the one who you appeared to be during the interview, we will not retain you.
