Introducing one-on-ones on UnderstandBetter .
When you’re in a large organization, you’re confined to your workspace, your team and your team lead. The communication that you share is also confined to this group. What if you want to communicate to someone else outside of this group? Can you try and reach the top level of your organization? That might not be as easy as it sounds.
With UnderstandBetter you can reach the top. We’ve introduced One-on-Ones where every manager and his team member can sit down to have an open conversation.
Now, let’s see how you can go about setting a one-on-one,
Supposing that you’re a manager and you’d like to know how he or she feels about work, you can schedule a one-on-one with each of your team members and give them a few questions to prepare for prior to your scheduled meeting. Once you’ve scheduled a one-on-one, you can set a title, date, time and venue for your meeting. And once you’re finished with that, you’ll get a notification saying that your invitation is sent and voilà! your one-on-one is scheduled.
Now, the team member with whom you’ve scheduled a one-on-one with will get a notification with the questions that you’ve sent. As a manager, you can even add and edit the questions you want to share and ask.
As a team member you will get a set of questions that your manager has sent, with space to make notes for. This one-on-one can be taken up anytime, anywhere and your manager will still get notified once you send in your answers. You can fill in the answers on your time and then send it to your manager. Once you’re done with your answers, there’s a little agreement box that will have the action points mentioned. Once you and your manager have come to an agreement, then you’re good to go!
This way, you don’t have to wait too endlessly to get an appointment with your manager and since you’re constantly providing feedback through these one-on-ones, you voice in all your concerns, your concerns are converted into actions and this results in a happy workplace!
We’ve created a platform that you and your entire organization will love. Why not give it a try?
